On Auction Night, enjoy your Madeleine in Wonderland adventure and support The Madeleine School Endowment Fund!
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland brings to life a child's dream world full of colorful characters and curiouser and curiouser conversations between her and the Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit, and the Cheshire Cat, just to name a few. While re-reading this Lewis Carroll classic, I was reminded of a sweet connection between Alice's childhood and the mission of The Madeleine School.
After Alice has awoken from her dream she skips off to have her tea while her older sister wistfully day dreams about Alice's future:
"How this same little sister of hers would, in the aftertime, be herself a grown woman; and how she would keep, through all her riper years, the simple and loving heart of her childhood; and how she would gather about her other little children, and make their eyes bright and eager with many a strange tale, perhaps even with the dream of Wonderland of long ago."
As the parents of Madeleine students, I hope your children are loving school and love to learn thanks to their many adventures with a fantastic cast of characters: our dedicated faculty and staff. Hopefully, they will carry these precious happy Madeleine days with them into adulthood and will one day send their children to as fine a Catholic school.
However, the reality is that not every family in our community is able to afford The Madeleine School's cost of tuition. So far this year, 16% of our students are receiving tuition assistance. The Madeleine School's Endowment Fund is used to fund these requests.
